A thoughtful redevelopment of a cluster of inner-city commercial and warehouse buildings created two distinct identities for two creative companies, Silverscreen, a film production company and Oktobor, a post-production facility. The Oktobor building cantilevers a compressed-sheet volume, containing computer suites, over a glazed band below. The Silverscreen building links offices, staff facilities and project spaces around a luminous central atrium. This building is capped by a sophisticated penthouse office and apartment.

The contrast between the needs of each business—the highly-controlled environments required for moving image technologies versus the more spacious areas favoured for creative thinking—led us to organise the hermetic workspaces around common, open spaces.
These are naturally ventilated and flooded with light. The Oktobor building cantilevers a compressed-sheet volume, containing computer suites, over a glazed band below. The Silverscreen building links offices, staff facilities and project spaces around a luminous central atrium. This building is capped by a sophisticated penthouse office and apartment.
